The Primary Health Centre (PHC) of Nokhu under Noklak District, constructed under the NHM flagship programme of 2017-18, was inaugurated by Additional Secretary, Health &Family Welfare, S. Tainiu on 4th October 2024.

During the inaugural programme, S. Tainiu exhorted the people to continue their support to the department in achieving the target of better healthcare delivery system. She also requested all stake holders to protect the government assets and avail the opportunities provided by the govt for improving the better livelihood of the people. The special guest also unveiled the monolith of the building.

CMO Noklak, Dr. Victor NC, explained all available plans and schemes of the department. He encouraged the staffs to carry out all activities diligently in order to make the new PHC fully functional. EAC Nokhu Hq, Menlom Phom impressed upon the gathering to avoid land encroachment for smooth functioning of the PHC. Land owner issue should be avoided at all cost for proper implementation of Governement plans and activities, Phom added.

Er. Akangtemsu, Medical Engineering Wing, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare also congratulated the elders of Nokhu village and village authorities of Nokhu range for successful completion of the building and urged the people to safe guard the public property set up by the government.

The dedicatory prayer was offered by Pastor NNBC.  A special number was presented by Tsoithen Langtha Band.

The building has been constructed in the donated land with the full co-operation of general public of Nokhu, Nokhu Noking, Langnok, Aniashu, Kingpao, Kingniu, Choklangan and Nokhu EAC Hq. The public of Nokhu range expressed their deepest appreciation to the Government of Nagaland, Department of Health &Family Welfare for taking initiative of upgrading the Sub-Centre to PHC-Nokhu in fulfilling the aspiration of entire Nokhu range. The PHC will not only serve the range but will benefit the people living across the border as well.
