During the ongoing Departmental District Tour, Dr. Mereninla Senlem inaugurated the new building for Health & Wellness Centre at Changki, while Advisor, Transport and Technical Education, Nagaland, Temjenmenba inaugurated Primary Health Centre at Longnak on 16th April 2026.
While addressing the participants during the inauguration, Dr Merenienla Senlem, PD, H&FW stated that it is an honour to inaugurate the new building for HWC, Changki. She said it is a gift from the government of India for all the people- bringing health care to the doorstep. She urged the community to maintain a healthy lifestyle to prevent the rise of NCDs and mental health issues in the current age. In conclusion, she lauded the participation of the community and urged continual contributions to support the growth and upkeep of the Health Centre- making way for a better health system.
Inaugurating the PHC Longnak, Advisor, Temjenmenba, lauded the efforts made by the village councils under Longnak, the contributions made by landowners and the participation of the community in reaching this milestone. He urged the Health workers to put continuous efforts in the service of humanity.
The team from the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima along with officials from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung made a visit to PHC Sabangya and also inspected the ongoing construction sites of PHC Khensa and Ayush Hospital at Chungtia.
The directorate team will inspect the construction sites at IMDH and will hold a District Review meeting on the 17th of April 2026.
