Phek District Planning & Development Board conducted its monthly meeting on 9th May 2025, at the DC Office’s Conference Hall, Phek. DC & Vice-Chairman DPDB Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS, chaired the meeting. 

The meeting started with the introduction of the new DC and Vice Chairman of DPDB, Phek. 

Rhosietho Nguori, NCS, informed the House that Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, has been appointed as the new Chairman of DPDB Phek; however, he said, the new Chairman of DPDB was unable to attend the meeting due to an urgent official engagement.  

Rhosietho Nguori requested officers in Phek district to be regular in their office station, and sought their sincere cooperation in all activities for the welfare and upliftment of the people of Phek district. 

The importance of the signboard of all the Government/Department offices was discussed at the meeting, for which Nguori asked officers of the respective departments for new signboards in all the offices at the earliest. 

The following agendas were discussed at the meeting:

Firstly, the application for registration of society in respect of Pfûtsero Town Business Association, which was presented at the meeting by the General Secretary of PTBA, and was agreed and approved by the House for recommendation to the higher authority. 

Secondly, the agenda with regard to the change of nomenclature of Bible Hill Middle School in Phek Headquarters to Assam Rifles was deliberated and agreed for recommendation to the higher authority for consideration. 

Lastly, the report on HSLC and HSSLC result 2025 was deliberated at the meeting as an agenda, for which Sr. District Education Officer, Phek, Vechisayi presented the result in school-wise. 

Assistant Director, Department of Tourism, S. Peter Trakha, presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation of department activities at the meeting.
