The monthly Phek DPDB meeting was held on 10th September 2024 at DPDB Hall, Phek under the Chairmanship of Advisor for New & Renewal Energy and NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe. 

Advisor & Chairman, DPDB also shared his concerned on the need for restoration of peace in the state. Meanwhile, MLA & Leader of NPF Legislators Party, Kuzholezu Azo Nienu urged upon the board members to avoid corruption in the form of irregularities and by negligence in their duty. Azo also reminded the Members to give their best services to the people.

Advisor, CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo informed the members to comply with GST (Taxes) norms at the meeting, while MLA, Dr. Neisatuo shared his concerned on the issue of land encroachment as the main hindrances for development or improvement of government properties in the State. He also shared his concern about the increasing global environment problems and encouraged the members for planting more trees.

The meeting deliberated on the agenda for the establishment of Administrative headquarter post at Weziho under Meluri ADC sub-Division in the district.  After discussion the board agreed to recommend to the Government for necessary action. 

Agenda for upgradation of Royal Foundation School to Higher Secondary level was also thoroughly discussed during the meeting. In this connection, DC Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam commented and said that upgradation of the school is urgently required with Science streams for the welfare of the district. Therefore, basing on the genuineness of the school, the board recommended to the authority for approval. 

Besides, agenda for opening of Private School at Phek was also recommended to the concerned authority after brief deliberations.  

District Horticulture Officer, Phek highlighted the departmental activities through power point presentation on the various schemes being implemented by the department in the district. Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes, Phek also presentation the departmental activities and highlighted on the GST registration and informed the members about the efforts initiated by the State Government for improvement of tax revenues.
