A piggery Farmers meet on the theme "Strengthening Tseminyu as a model Piggery District", was held on 18th March 2026 at Town Hall, Tseminyu. Bringing together farmers, Government Officials, allied departments, and financial institutions to promote sustainable Piggery development in the district.  The program was chaired by Dr. Gwathonlo Tsela VAS.
Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DLMC, Japheth Woch emphasized the importance of Piggery as a key livelihood activity in the district and highlighted the need for convergence among Departments, financial institutions, and farmers to strengthen the Piggery sector. 
While Dr. Kenalo Kath (CVO) Tseminyu, spoke on the importance of scientific Piggery practices, disease control and the improving productivity and ensuring the health of livestock. 
Officers from allied Departments including Agriculture, KVK, Land Resources, Industry and Fishery shared their insights on integrated farming approaches, resources management and technical support available to farmers.
Officials from financial institutions such as SBI and Bank of Baroda highlighted financial assistance available for Piggery and allied activities assuring farmers to avail institutional support for expanding their enterprise. 
The program served as a platform for interactions knowledge sharing and strengthening coordination among stakeholders aimed at enhancing Piggery production improving farmers livelihood. The event commenced with an invocation by Meshenchu Kath, Pastor New Tesophenyu Baptist Church, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Benti Semy, (VAS) MUV, Tseminyu.
