A project inspection of works under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East (PM-DeVINE) and North Eastern Council (NEC) schemes was conducted in Dimapur district from January 17, 2026, by Angshuman Dey, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), during his official visit to Nagaland.
Dey inspected the construction of the 220/132kV (2×100 MVA) and 132/33kV (2×50 MVA) Tsitrongse–Dimapur substation being executed under the PM-DeVINE scheme. He also inspected the upgradation works of the Radiation Oncology Department at CIHSR, Dimapur, which is being implemented under the same scheme to strengthen cancer care facilities and improve access to advanced treatment services in the district.
The Joint Secretary was accompanied by Er. Kasho Chishi, Chief Engineer (Transmission & Generation), Asangla Imti, Secretary, Power Department, Nagaland, and Temsunaro Aier, IAS, Development Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, along with other departmental officials.
Dey will review several development projects funded under the North Eastern Council (NEC), including infrastructure and livelihood-based initiatives. He interacted with implementing agencies and district officials and stressed the need for timely completion of works, adherence to quality standards, and effective utilization of funds to ensure tangible benefits for the people.
