District Administration, Peren organized a farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Peren, Japheth Woch at DC's Conference Hall, Peren on 13th November 2024.

In his farewell speech, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Japheth Woch said, he had the privilege of working in Peren district for around nine months under two DC's facing election twice. He attributed the successful conduct of the last election to former DC as well as AEO and all the staff involved. He also expressed his sincere thanks to the Dobashis and all his staff for being always available when needed and further encouraged them to continue their support to DC, the incoming ADC and all the officers with the same attitude even in the days to come. Further, he commended the DC for taking up different initiatives such as adoption of schools and adoption of village which he hoped would help in taking the district forward.

Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Hiazu Meru in his speech lauded the outgoing ADC for his exceptional and dedicated service during his short stay at Peren. He described him as someone who is straight forward and has a noble quality of humility. While speaking, Meru also shared the good working relationship that he had developed with the outgoing officer even though it was for a short moment. He encouraged his staff to perform their duties sincerely and leave a footprint wherever they go so that people will get to know the good about them. Further, he conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing ADC for his new assignment.

Short speeches were also delivered by Sr. HA Election Branch, Aro Zeliang, LDA, Igwangdaile and DB-1, Lungrahei Herie.

The programme was chaired by EAC Peren, Pauding Disuang, while EAC Peren, Mhashumi T. Ezung proposed vote of thanks.
