The Akuhaito Aspirational Block officially launched Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Zunheboto, on 2nd February 2026.
The Key indicators for Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 includes Children from 6 month to 6 years taking supplementary nutrition regularly (ICDS); Measurements efficiency of children enrolled at Anganwadi centers, operational Anganwadi with functional toilets, operational Anganwadi with drinking water facilities under under Health and Nutrition and under Education sector key indicators includes the schools with adequate girls toilets facilities and under Agri and Allied Sector percentage of Bovine animals vaccinated (FMD) which is scheduled to be completed in two and half month.
EAC Atoizu and Nodal Officer, Akuhaito Aspirational Block, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak in his welcome address reflected on the Block’s journey over the past two years, highlighted both challenges and achievements, noting that the block had secured the 8th rank at the national level. He urged stakeholders to recommit themselves to achieving a 100 percent saturation rate. He called upon all departments to work collectively so that the benefits of the scheme reach the grassroots level.
The keynote address and administration of the pledge were led by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, IAS. He expressed concern over the block’s current performance compared to other performing blocks, stating that despite running the programme for the past three years, progress has been unsatisfactory. Emphasizing that the block has a small population, he said focused efforts and coordination among key departments particularly Social welfare, Veterinary office, AEO could significantly improve outcomes. He assured his full support and availability to strengthen the initiative.
PowerPoint presentations were presented by the Social Welfare Department, the Chief Veterinary Officer, Zunheboto, and the AEO, Zunheboto.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Tsoinchu Sangtam, EAC (HQ), Zunheboto. The Deputy Commissioner directed that all fieldwork under the programme be completed by March 31.
Earlier in the programme Kivikali Achumi, Aspirational Block Fellow, Akuhaito chaired the programme invocation was offered by Easter Sema from the SDA, DC Office, Zunheboto.
