As a reminder of what happened when the constitution of India was trampled in 1975, and paying homage to those who suffered during the National Emergency of 1975, Samvidhan Hatya Diwas is being commemorated on 25th June 2025 throughout India.
Observing the same, a programme was organized by the District Administration, Mokokchung in collaboration with District Culture Office, Mokokchung at DCs Conference Hall on 25th June 2025.
Associate Professor, Department of English, Fazl Ali College, Bendangsenla delivered the keynote address, emphasizing on “The Emergency of 1975: A Constitutional Turning Point”. A short speech on behalf of the district administration was delivered by Ajay Moktan IAS (P), while vote of thanks was proposed by Kato Aomi EAC(P). The programme was chaired by District Cultural Officer, Mokokchung, Imyaba Ao.
