The monthly meeting of the SDPDB, Bhandari was held at the conference hall of the Summer House-Cum-Guest House, Bhandari on 8th October 2024. Additional Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, SDPDB Bhandari, Longasen Lotha, NCS who chaired the meeting welcomed new members to the house and led the house to review the last meeting minutes.
During review of agendas for follow up action, Lead Bank Wokha, Manager,
C. Yanthan briefed on the Chanpang unbanked block and informed that joint survey has been conducted by competent authorities and concluded that, since opening of Branch at present is not found feasible the members decided to revisit again after two years.
The house, while deliberating on recommendation for recognition of Hangthen village, noted that all documents were in order and resolved to forward the matter to Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, for necessary action in favour of the same.
The house also emphasised that most of the offices and official quarters at the Bhandari Head Quarter are old and in dilapidated conditions, and recommended for construction of Office Complex in a mini Secretariat type to improvise accommodation and functioning.
ADC and Vice Chairman, SDPDB, while reminding the departments under Bhandari Sub-division to submit Statistical report on man power and infrastructure of respective offices, lauded the electrical department for providing uninterrupted power supply by maintaining good power lines.
After the meeting, the House carried out a tree plantation drive at the Common Cemetery, Bhandari wherein a mass social work/ clearing had been carried out in the previous day.
