The Exhibition Stall for State Medicinal Plants Board and National Ayush Mission, Nagaland under the initiative of Ayush Wing, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare was inaugurated by Anoop Khinchi, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary for H&FW, Government of Nagaland at Medicinal Herbal Garden at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on the 1st of December 2024.

In his speech, Khinchi encouraged the Ayush staff to make every effort to uplift people’s health and livelihood in the state. He stated that medicinal plants available naturally have immense potential to be a source of sustenance for the Nagas. He pledged that every possible effort will be provided from the government for development and progress of medicinal plants sector in the state.

Deputy Director (Ayush), Dr. T. Bendangtula expressed gratitude to Khinchi for laying the initiative to establish the exhibition stall at the Medicinal Herbal Garden.

The stall exhibits an array of diverse Ayush items including free distribution of medicinal plants saplings, herbal tea, Ayurvedic & Homoeopathic medicines and IECs. Local herbal products prepared by Naga traditional herbalists for sale such as Ginseng, Wild apple, Sumac, essential oils, Rhododendron juice, etc. are available in the stall.
