A Nationwide Initiative, Swachata Hi Seva 2024 a fortnight-long Cleanliness drive/activities by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs from 13th September to 2nd October 2024, as a prelude to the Swach Bharat Divas celebration on 2nd October 2024 under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata -Sanskaar Swachhata” (Cleanliness of Nature Cleanliness of Culture) was launched in Longleng on 17th September 2024 at DCs conference hall.
EAC, C. Tsalimse Sangtam, presented a brief highlight of the key activities of the campaign. He encouraged the gathering to actively participate during the campaign and said it is very inclusive and a community bone activities. He mentioned that it is imperative that we work together to ensure widespread engagement and participation from every citizen of Longleng during the fortnight keeping the aim to foster a sense of duty and transform the way people perceived and engage with Swachhata (Cleanliness).
The Addl. Deputy Commissioner & Administrator Longleng, Alongdhimen Jamir, highlighted the activities like slogan, Essay writing and Painting competition on the theme “Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata” (Cleanliness of Nature Cleanliness of Culture) for school students and conducting a mass social work on 28th September. He sought to facilitate a large scale advocacy and citizen’s participation for Swachh Longleng (Clean Longleng). Swachh Bharat Divas campaign will culminate on 2nd October 2024.
