A Table Top Exercise in preparation for the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2026 was conducted on April 29, 2026, at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Purana Bazar, Dimapur.
The exercise was organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Dimapur, to assess preparedness and strengthen coordination among various departments and agencies ahead of the mock drill scheduled for April 30, 2026.
Officials designated as observers, site in-charges, and volunteers attended the session, which focused on response strategies, inter-agency coordination, communication systems, and the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders during emergency situations. Key locations identified for the mock drill included the DC Office (Staging Area), Government Higher Secondary School, Purana Bazar; Hollotoli School, Naharbari; Westside Store, Darogapathar; Indian Oil (IOCL), Kevijau; and PHC Purana Bazar.
The exercise also reviewed the tentative sequence of activities under the proposed “Operation Night Guard/Air Raid” scenario, simulating multiple incident sites including the DC Office Dimapur and EDTC.
Additionally, geo-coordinates of the identified sites were reviewed, highlighting the need for timely response, efficient resource mobilization, and ensuring public safety.
The programme concluded with a briefing on the final arrangements for the upcoming district-wide mock drill.
