The Mangmetong Village Council organized a thanksgiving programme in honour of Daochir I Imchen, Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Government of Nagaland on 6th June 2026 at Panchayat Bhavan, Mangmetong Village, Mokokchung.
While delivering his speech, the Advisor assured that he would serve all the citizens of 28th Koridang Assembly Constituency irrespective of village or political affiliation. The Advisor also assured that he would continue the developmental works and commitment undertaken by his father, former Minister, Late Imkong Imchen, while also pursuing new initiatives. While appreciating the citizen of Koridang constituency for their support and confidence, the Advisor appealed to the people of his constituency to continue with their support and guidance.
The Advisor also announced a youth skill development initiative to be implemented under the State Planning Board’s Local Area programme with Rs 20 Lakhs earmarked for the scheme which would benefit around twenty (20) youths during the current financial year.
Mangmetong Village Council Chairman, Watitemjen, while delivering the welcome address stated that Koridang has supported a candidate from Mangmetong for the sixth time- five times for late Imkong L Imchen and now his son Daochir I Imchen.
During the programme short speeches were also delivered by representatives of various organizations and Village Council under 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency.
