To strengthen COPTA Act 2003 in Tizit Sub division, a newly formed Enforcement Team, Tizit conducted a surprise raid in and around Tizit Area, Mon on 24th October 2024.

The team was led by SDO (c) Tizit, Tumben P. Tsanglao and accompanied by O/C Tizit, Police Station, Nzambemo Lotha, Consultant, NTCP Mon, E Nyeamying Konyak, Head Dobashi, President TASU and police personnels.

Altogether 23 defaulters were penalized in the raid under COTPA 2023, which included 18 defaulters under COTPA Sec 6 (b) i.e, Prohibition on sale of tobacco products near educational institutions and 5 defaulters under COTPA Sec 5 i.e, Prohibition on advertisement of cigarettes.
