The Felicitation of Toppers, Rank Holders and Achievers of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2025 was held at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima, on June 12, 2025, under the aegis of the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan. The event celebrated academic excellence and inspired the young achievers to contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation.
The Governor's message was delivered by Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor, School Education & SCERT, on his behalf. In his message, the Governor extended heartfelt congratulations to all toppers and successful candidates of the HSLC and HSSLC 2025 examinations. He lauded their hard work, perseverance, and intellectual achievement, noting that their success marks a significant milestone on the road to even greater accomplishments.
The Governor emphasized that this moment of triumph is not theirs alone, but also a reflection of the unwavering support of parents, families, teachers, and schools. He highlighted the critical role the educators play, not just in imparting knowledge, but in cultivating discipline, curiosity, and ambition among students.
The Governor encouraged the students to reflect on the privileges they enjoy, peace, stability, and access to quality education, while reminding them of the responsibility that comes with such blessings. “You are not just students; you are the nation-builders of tomorrow,” he stated, calling on them to uphold values such as honesty, hard work, adaptability, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
He also urged the students to contribute to Viksit Bharat - A Developed India by 2047, a vision he holds dear. “Though I may not live to see this dream realized,” he said, “you will be its architects, and you will enjoy its fruits.”
In his address, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome congratulated the students and acknowledged that success, while individually earned, is supported by many. He commended the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) for the smooth and successful conduct of the 2025 examinations. He reminded students of their potential as future leaders, and urged them to be bold in their aspirations, affirming that “courage defines both character and success.”
Dr. Yhome emphasized the importance of giving back to society. “The way you give back ultimately reflects your true character,” he said. He concluded by underscoring the transformative power of education: “Only education can truly liberate you as you step into a new chapter of life.”
