The Treasures of Nagaland exhibition-cum-sale organized by YouthNet and sponsored by NABARD was inaugurated at Made in Nagaland Centre, Kohima by General Manager/OIC, NABARD, Pauliankap Bulte on 2nd December 2024.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Pauliankap Bulte said Nagaland is ahead of other peer states of the North East in the field of food processing based on Cottage Industry with a variety of locally made food items available in the market, and encouraged the promotion of Naga Cuisine. He also suggested the entrepreneurs for a cluster mode of food processing where NABARD can assist them.

Lauding the participants and entrepreneurs of the Treasures of Nagaland exhibition-cum-sale, he suggested them to listen to their customers and interact with them for feedbacks on their products, quality and packaging as only attentive listeners can improve their products, visualize the potential market to sell their products and to earn more revenue. Later, Pauliankap Bulte took part in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and inspected the stalls.

Nodal Officer & Head-Business Development & Corporate Communication, YouthNet, Razouvikhol Luho in his welcome address highlighted that YouthNet had collaborated with the NABARD since the year 2019 and have been training entrepreneurs in skill development and hospitality sectors. He said, with the help of NABARD many of the participants who have undergone the training are today well settled successfully and hoped that this 10 days exhibition-cum-sale would have a great impact on the participating entrepreneurs.

Supervisor-YIC, YouthNet, Vetolu Dawhuo who chaired the programme mentioned that the Treasures of Nagaland exhibition-cum-sale was undertaken as a part of the 25th Years Celebration of Hornbill Festival to promote local artisans and entrepreneurs to a wider platform.

The programme was attended by entrepreneurs from different districts of the state.
