The National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), Wokha District and Community Health Centre (CHC), Bhandari conducted JAN-JAN KA RAKHE DHYAAN TB-MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN, (NI-Kshay Shivir) on 31.01.2025.
Speaking in the programme, Renben Tsanglao, Senior Treatment Supervisor (STS), Wokha said that the Health Screening Camp for Community based assessment amongst the vulnerable population was held as part of the 100 days Intensified Campaign, which was launched by the government of India, to accelerate TB case detection, reduce mortality and prevent new cases through focussed intervention in order to achieve total elimination of Tuberculosis disease.
Speaking on the importance of early screening, detection, signs and symptoms of TB, he emphasised on the importance of coming forward without fear or reluctance.
He also highlighted on the assistance and measures implemented by the government towards total elimination of the disease.
Free health screening for Non Communicable Diseases, (NCD) X-Ray, Blood and Sputum test, etc. were also conducted.
