District Planning and Development Board Tuensang held its Monthly meeting on 7th April 2026 at DC’s Conference Hall Tuensang under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.
After reviewing the last month meeting minutes, the board discussed and recommended for the Connection of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)Water connection at DEF office and Staff Quarters, in the meeting Dr. Akash Sinha IPS, SDPO DEF Tuensang highlights few points on NCORD and stated that the district being closer to Myanmar Golden Traingle, DEF Tuensang has tackled Drug movements and infiltrated the supply routes. He added that many drug users are students and emphasized that stakeholders such as the Education Department, administration, social welfare, medical sector, and the Church have an important role to play. He further stated that youths involved in drug use should be treated as victims rather than accused individuals.
T. Longlang Luckpan, DWO Tuensang gave a detailed Power Point presentation on National Social Assistant Program (NSAP) including IGNOAPS, IGNWPS, IGNDPS and State Scheme for Blind and Scholarships for disability which is being implemented it the district at present. He also highlighted some challenges face by the Department in implementing schemes like difficulties in opening Aadhar Card and Bank Account and informed on Assignment camp held for senior citizens and differently abled in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also requested all the departments to conduct regular Cleanliness drive in their respective Office Premises and surroundings and to participate in the Pre- Monsoon Social work.
