Along with the rest of the Nation, Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan was launched at KVK Conference Hall, Tuensang on 29th May 2025 with special guest Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.

Speaking at the launching programme, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa stated that, Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is a Nation wide Campaign to modernized India in Agricultural through scientific outreach and farmers’ empowerment. She added that the vision of Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India is to make India the food basket of the World by 2047. The DC requested the farmers to take this platform as an opportunity to learn from the visiting scientist and expert for a better harvest and storage of the crops.

Dr. Pijush Senior Scientist and Head KVK, Tuensang in his introductory speech stated that the main objectives of the Campaign is to educate farmers on modern technologies, awareness programme on government schemes and policies, guide farmers on using soil health and crops selection, feedback of farmers to support research direction and innovation in agriculture.

The programme was chaired by Longma Yanger, ACTO, short speech from DAO Tuensang and VCC Kuthur Village and vote of thanks from K. Michael Pienyu, ACTO. The programme was attended by Scientist and Professor from ICAR, Agriculture Department Tuensang and farmers from Kuthur Village.
