The launching programme for the pre-monsoon national campaign, Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, was held at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall, Wokha. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Vineet Kumar, IAS, as the special guest. 

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner elaborated on the core idea and objectives behind the nationwide campaign. He emphasized the opportunities it presents for farmers and the transformative role of technology in modern agricultural practices. Under this initiative, farmers from various villages will be introduced to improved farming techniques and made aware of the government schemes available to them through direct interaction with agricultural scientists and representatives from relevant departments. 

Senior Scientist and Head of ICAR-KVK Wokha, Dr. Sandeep Deshmukh, delivered the opening remarks, providing an overview of the campaign's concept. Additional Deputy Commissioner Renbomo Ezung, along with officials from the Agriculture and Allied Departments, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of agricultural development. 

During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner released official publications related to the campaign, emphasizing the importance of information dissemination. This was followed by the ceremonial flag-off of the campaign, officially marking its commencement. 

The event was chaired by Dr. BL Mhalo Tungoe, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Thungchano Ezung, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved. 

As part of the campaign, Wokha district has been divided into three teams, each responsible for covering three villages per day over the next 12 days. This structure aims to maximize outreach and ensure effective implementation across the district. 

The initiative reflects a collective commitment to enhancing agricultural awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and equipping farmers with the necessary knowledge to improve productivity and resilience.
