MLA & Advisor, Department of Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak inaugurated the Awaho Reservoir Tank under Jal Jeevan Mission at Tammong Village on 19th December 2024.

Speaking at the function, the Advisor expressed his gratitude to all the initiators, village elders, department and Mon Village Council for the successful completion of water supply connectivity in the village and said it’s the result of collective efforts. He also requested the villagers to learn to conserve water to avoid water scarcity. He commented that the newly recognised Tammong village is blessed and lucky to avail the facilities of the Government. The Water Tank was dedicated by T. Manto Pastor, Tammong Baptist Fellowship.

              Er. Lutho Katiry, EE PHED Mon appealed to the villagers to be more responsible citizens, to preserve, protect, mobilize and cooperate for the sustainable management of water supply in the village.

              Short Speeches were delivered by Mon Village Council, Y. Tingyeih VCM and CM. Joseph, Chairman WATSAN. The program was chaired by Wanglem, Council Secretary, welcome address was delivered by N. Lemnyei H/GB and special No. was presented by Tammong Youth.
