A large consignment of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) was destroyed in Wokha on 17th May 2025, in compliance with legal directives. The destruction process was carried out in the presence of members of the destruction committee, led by APP Wokha, Renbemo Tungoe, along with SDPO, Benrithung, SDO (C) Echungbemo Erui, Prosecuting Inspector, and EAC (P).  

The seized liquor was destroyed as part of enforcement measures, included various brands such as Bacardi Black, Blenders Pride, Iconic Whisky, Vodka Magic Moment, Signature, Old Monk, Royal Stag, MC Run, MC Luxury, Kingfisher Beer, Budweiser, Breezer, and AC Black Whisky. These consignments were confiscated on multiple occasions within Wokha district in accordance with regulatory actions.  

The event reaffirmed the authorities' commitment to curbing the illegal circulation of IMFL within the district, ensuring strict enforcement of legal provisions.
