As part of the observance of World Environment Day 2026, the District Administration Noklak, in collaboration with Noklak Town Council and the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), organized a tree plantation drive at Noklak on June 5, 2026.

            Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, P. Mono Khiamniungan, emphasized the importance of protecting the environment, stating that safeguarding nature is a joint responsibility.

            ADC, Relise Sangtam, also encouraged participants to ensure proper follow-up and care of the saplings, stressing that nurturing and maintaining the plantations is more important than merely planting them.

            The programme was attended by Heads of Offices, Ward Chairmen, DBs, GBs and others.
