World Environment Day was observed across Tening Sub-Division, Peren, on 5th June 2026 with enthusiastic participation from various institutions, government departments and local communities. The occasion was marked by a series of activities aimed at promoting awareness on environmental conservation and sustainable living.
Government employees, students and members of different organizations actively took part in tree plantation drives, planting saplings at designated locations to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment. Cleanliness campaigns were also conducted in government offices, educational institutions, public spaces and surrounding areas to encourage proper waste management and environmental responsibility.
