Chozuba sub division under Phek district, Nagaland observed World Environment Day along with rest of the world with cherry tree plantation followed by cleanliness drive on 5th June, 2025.

Dr. Cthitu Nienu, Extra Assistant Commissioner informed that World Environment Day 2025 commemorated in Chozuba Town under the theme: “Ending plastic pollution globally”. District Administration and all government offices in Chozuba along with Town Council and Civil Society Organisation’s carried out an extensive Cherry tree plantation and cleanliness drive to mark the occasion.

Cherry tree plantation along the NH 702A and flowers in the office premises was done for greenery with sustainable beautification of the town and eco- friendly. Each government department and office was entrusted to plant a minimum of 30 saplings.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Diana Patton and EAC, Dr. Cthitu Nienu monitored the mass social work.
