To commemorate the world environment day, Medziphema Chamber of Commerce and Industries in collaboration with Medziphema Town Council (MTC) observe the World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 at Medziphema sub-division, Chumoukedima under the theme "Lift A Life" to preserve the environment and ecology. The plantation drive was organised near ICAR Office - National highway- 29, and Government Higher Secondary School, Medziphema.

The plantation drive started with the planting of saplings by the ADC, P James Swu at NH- 29 divider and Government Higher Secondary School campus in the presence of Medziphema Town Council (MTC) and Medziphema Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and also teachers and students. The saplings were consisting of Litchi, Mango, Pomelo, Bukuri (Jujubi) and ornamental trees. The administration, MTC members and schools will take the responsibility and ensure the survival of the saplings planted. 

The plantation drive was a huge success with active participation from all representatives.

Tree plantation drive at the community health centre, Medziphema was also organised to promote a greener and healthier environment. Faculty and staff actively participated in planting trees emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly health care practices.
