The Nagaland Secretariat service Association (NSSA) observed the World Environment day on 5th June 2025 at NSSA Park with Home Commissioner, Vyasan R. IAS as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Home Commissioner, Vyasan R thanked the Eco Club members for making an isolated place to a beautiful park where people can have place to enjoy and relax. He encouraged them to improve more to attract people and urged them to tap opportunity to beautify the park. He suggested the Eco club members of the NSSA to start a campaign for free plastic zone around the Secretariat area to maintain clean Environment.              

Home Commissioner also raised the awareness about the environmental issue around Kohima like pollution, climate change and Conservation and urged the members to promote substantial living practices to reduce waste. He called on to make a step towards greener tomorrow by celebrating the world Environment day.

The other highlights of the day include: distribution of tree siblings and taking an Environmental pledge to end plastic pollution.
