A departmental co-ordination meeting of the Department of Industries & Commerce was held at the conference hall of the Directorate of Industries & Commerce on 22nd July 2021.
Advisor, Industries & Commerce and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Imnatiba Jamir addressing the meeting stressed on the need and the urgency to bring out the Nagaland Trade, Investment and Industrial Policy (NTIIP) to provide better facilities to entrepreneurs and industrialists in accordance with the policies and programmes of the State Government and other allied departments of the State as well as the Central Ministries.
He also challenged the department officers of a paradigm shift in implementing departmental programmes so that Nagaland can be brought at par with other states.
During the meeting, senior officers and programme officers made a presentation of ongoing departmental development programmes such as MSME Projects, Startup, PMEGP, Food Processing, Handloom & Handicraft, Border Trades, Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) NEIDS etc. Achievements, issues and challenges were deliberated upon and with inputs from Senior Officers as well as from the Advisor, trouble shooters were also recommended.
IPoS, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Kekhrievor Kevichusa also attended the meeting.
