Moatoshi Longkumer, Advisor for Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Excise conducted a consultative meeting in the presence of Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship with the Principals of the Industrial Training Institutes and District Employment Officers of the Employment Exchanges in the State along with officials of the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on the 18th & 19th of May, 2023.

During the meeting, Moatoshi reviewed the activities and achievements of the Department and emphasized the need for innovation in reducing the unemployment rates in the State. Moatoshi also highlighted the importance of conducting regular job fairs across the state to align unemployed youths with employers.

The Advisor encouraged the Department to work out an action plan to conduct one training programme in each District Headquarters on two different trades each for men and women with the Mobile Skill Morung. This initiative will help improve accessibility to skill development and create more job opportunities for the youth.

Kovi Meyase, Additional Secretary & Director, in his keynote address, appreciated Advisor Moatoshi's concern towards the Department and acknowledged his initiative towards taking the Department forward.
