Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pfutsero, Japheth Woch, NCS stated that with reference to a letter received from the Assistant Veterinary Surgeon, Pfutsero dated Pfutsero the 18th of July, 2022, regarding the confirmation of African Swine Fever (ASF) at Phusachodu Village under Phek district as per laboratory test report from NERDDL, Khanapara, Guwahati, Restriction Order is hereby issued in the interest of Public Health and Safety.

The following measures are hereby notified with immediate effect:

1.                  The area coming within 1 km radius i.e. whole Phusachodu village has been declared as infected and containment zone.

2.                  Area falling within 10 km radius i.e. Thipuzu, Rihuba, Kikruma and Rukizu Colony, Pfutsero have been declared as surveillance zone.

3.                  Inter village transportation of live pigs and pork from the affected area is strictly prohibited till further orders.
