Along with the rest of the Nation, Aghunato sub-division under Zunheboto district celebrated the 80th Independence Day at ADC’s office premises, Aghunato on 15th August 2026. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aghunato, Kikato K Chishi hoisted the National flag and latter read out the Independence Day speech. He also inaugurated the exhibition stalls put up by various SHGs initiated by the department of Agriculture to encourage the farmers to showcase the organic vegetables.

Highlights of the occasion include a presentation of special songs by Elohim Kindergarten Aghunato and Holi Kiba.
