AHoDs and HoDs meeting convened by the Chief Secretary was held at Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima on 29th October 2021.
Chief Secretary J Alam, IAS chaired the meeting wherein he started the proceedings by acknowledging all the different Departments who had worked tirelessly and contributed immensely in bringing the Covid-19 Pandemic under control in the State. He further added that with the situation finally improving, it was time to begin normalizing the functioning of Offices at full capacity and with it, also address the issue of attendance and punctuality in all the Government Departments. He further urged all the Departments to come up with a proper working system to check the attendance of all government employees and ensure that proper work timings are maintained in all offices.
Department of P&AR made a brief presentation on the working of PIMS and the recently introduced ePaybill system.
One important agenda discussed during the meeting was the need to have weekly meetings wherein pre-selected departments will present reports of activities undertaken by the respective departments and also discuss important department related matters.
Several other agendas pertaining to the upcoming International Tourism Mart and the Hornbill Festival were discussed during the meeting. Several issues related to delayed pension of retired government servants and the need to bring reforms in the system were also discussed during the meeting.
