Union Minister of Home Affairs & Cooperation, Amit Shah virtually inaugurated various projects across Nagaland from Nousi Auditorium Hall, Chumukedima on 6th January 2023. 42 VR laboratories and 9 AtalTinkering Labs in various Government Higher Secondary Schools, 12.5 MV Sub Station in Chiephobozou, Trekking & Base Camp at Saramati, Thanamir village Kiphire and RCC 2- Lane Bridge at Doyang River near Governor's Camp, Liphayan, at the cost of 51 crores have been virtually inaugurated.
Shah, in his address, mentioned PM Modi's vision of three Ps for the state of Nagaland- Peace, Progress & Prosperity which have been successfully implemented in the state. Reduction of insurgency-related incidents and Law & Order in the state is significant in the last eight years stated the Minister. Shah also said the 15 Finance Commission has allocated 4773 crores and 219 crores as a special package in 2021 to the state of Nagaland. The process of removing the Arms Forces Special Power Act (APSPA) in the state is placed in a gradual manner. Various Central sponsored schemes that are being implemented in the state were also mentioned.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, in his speech, extended a warm welcome and said the Home Minister always stands by the side of the people of Nagaland who have never turned down any of their requests and requirements.
