A meeting was convened at the conference hall of the Tourist Lodge at Dimapur on the 10th of February 2023 to discuss the GIS-based AMRUT Master Plan of the Greater Dimapur Planning Area. In this program, Chenithung Lotha, Director, of Urban Development said that Nagaland has undertaken the preparation of a GIS-based master plan for Dimapur and Kohima under the AMRUT Scheme. The Master plan is expected to give improvement to the development and economic growth of the cities. The UDD, Nagaland has given this assignment to Remote Sensing Instruments (RSI, Hyderabad) and noted that The GIS-based Master Plan of Dimapur has been prepared for the prospective year of 2041. A power presentation was delivered by the Remote Sensing Instruments (RSI) Hyderabad at the meeting.
