AWARENESS ON PCPNDT ACT HELD AT WOKHA

Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) the Wokha District Administration, DLCW-MSK and Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) organized an awareness programme on Pre Conceptions and Pre Natal Diagnostic Technique Act (PCPNDT) Act for the ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers on 22nd January 2021 at Deputy Commissioners Conference Hall, Wokha.

During the short programme Safety kit consisting of Hand Wash, face mask and sanitary pads were distributed to the ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers.

Advocate, Shanchobeni enlightened the gathering on the PCPNDT Act, while EAC (p) Arhonbeni also delivered a short speech, where she encouraged the participants to actively take part in such activities for the success of the programmes and policies. The function was chaired by Women Welfare Officer, Wokha, Dr. Wonchano.
