Carrying Christmas message forward, the officer bearers of the Angami Women Organization (AWO) visited Grace Mission Orphanage with 28 children at Virazouma Village and Nagaland Outreach Children’s Orphanage at Seithekema “C” with 17 children, Dimapur on 17th December 2021.
“Christmas, a time of joy and good will towards men”. On the physical aspect of Christmas, an average Naga home is filled with warmth, lots of love, laughter, good foods and warm clothes. But somewhere in a small corner of our land, few children are longing for parental love and care, a warm meal during Christmas or a warm cloth to fight against the Christmas winter, AWO members stated during the visit to the orphanages.
As a gesture of Christmas love, food items were given to the two orphanages. Also each child from both homes were given a warm blanket, which was fended from the offering collected in an Advent Christmas Program organized by the Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (AGOK) on 14th December 2021 to commemorate 50 years of Angami Public Organization (APO) existence. Songs were presented by children; sharing and praying for one another marked the occasion.
