The Home Ministry Government of India has directed that in the wake of resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic in the Country and due to increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, it has been decided to postpone all the programmes and events related to the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Iconic Events Week (17th to 23rd January 2022) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Additional Secretary Home, Government of Nagaland, Nusieta Rhakho has issued a circular stating that the events and programs scheduled for 18th January 2022 in the State of Nagaland related to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav stands postponed, and further action regarding these may be initiated after getting fresh instructions from MHA, GoI.
