Banuo Z. Jamir, former Chief Secretary of Nagaland was sworn in as the new Lokayukta, Nagaland during a programme held at Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on 18th January 2023.

During the oath taking ceremony, Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, IAS initiated the proceedings while Chief Secretary, J. Alam, IAS administered the oath of office.
