PHED, Wokha division organized a one-day basic training on skill development for villagers on 12th October 2021 at PHED, EE Office complex, under Jal Jeevan Mission support activity.

In his keynote address EE PHED Wokha, Er. Imnazulu Ao, said that the skill development workshop was organized to equip the stakeholders on various related trades so as to ensure the sustainability of water supply infrastructures. He urged the stakeholders to take proper responsibility of operation and maintenance of the water supply infrastructures once the schemes are completed and handed over to them by the department.

During the workshop, a thorough theoretical and practical session on the use of equipment and tools on four trades namely plumbing, masonry, welding and electrician were imparted by skilled master trainers.

The program was chaired by JE PHED Wokha, Er. Thungchanbemo Tungoe, while vote of thanks was delivered by JE PHED Sanis, Er. Zuchanbemo Tsanglao.

The same program was also conducted at Bhandari sub-division headed by SDO Bhandari, Er. K.Hukato Shohe.
