“Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Beti Khelao’ Badminton tournament for girls and women kick started at Mokokchung on 11th February, 2021, organized by the District Administration & DLCW-MSK (BBBP) Mokokchung District and co-hosted by Mokokchung District Badminton Association.

            The Tournament is scheduled to be held on 11th and 12th February 2021 at the Indoor Badminton Stadium, Mokokchung under the category of Under 11 years, Under 15 years and Open category.

            Special guest in the opening programme, Dharam Raj, IAS, SDO (C), Mokokchung spoke on the importance of the BBBP and its initiatives & programmes for the development of the girls child in the country. He called upon every girl child to take active interest in sports for the physical development of a person. Welcome note was delivered by Kathyinla Jamir, EAC (P) Mokokchung.
