One day open road bicycle rally in commemoration with 50 years of Phek district was flag off on 4th Nov. 2023 at Glory peak by Dr. Neisatuo Mero MLA, Nagaland under the theme 'Rally of Phek'.

                Dr. Neisatuo in his speech said that the cyclist will be travelling 50 km between Pfutsero and Phek which is coinciding with 50 years of Phek district celebration and believed that it will be good for the people of the district. He also said it thrilled to see many young peoples from our state and other parts of India taking part in the rally with some national medalist which will be a boost and a challenge for all the participants.

He said cycling should be one item in any sports event in Phek area as well as in Nagaland. Cycling is 100% eco-friendly with free pollution and call upon the participants to encourage and promote such sports in our state where CM Neiphiu Rio is taking a very keen interest in the field of sports. Dr. Neisatuo said that Pfutsero is one of the best spot to promote tourism industry and call upon the department of tourism to take up more projects in the area.
