The national training for all the Block Level Officers under 12 A/C Tseminyu was held on 17th July 2025, at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu.
In the 1st session, ADC & ERO Tseminyu, Kikumsangla Jamir presented a brief note about the constitutional legal provisions & electoral roll processes, role duties of BLO including house to house survey procedure and formalities, along with a few suggestive scripts and detailed information relating to form 6, 6A, 7 and 8 related scenarios, along with scripts. She also emphasized the training on filling out forms through BLO App and training on VHA App.
While in the 2nd session, David Kent, BLO Tseminyu New Town -11 polling station -13, imparted training of BLOs through role plays, form-filling exercises, assessments, and case studies regarding house-to-house electoral surveys. Participants formed into four groups were engaged in role plays that focused on key elements such as polite communication, correct identification and appropriate handling of electoral forms (forms 6, 6A ,7 and 8) based on various scenarios.
The scenarios include common household situations that BLOs might encounter, including changes in residence, issues with voting cards and managing forms for family members, and assessment of form-filling exercises.
The 3rd session was led by Livika, Assistant Programmer, where she emphasized the BLOs App and announcement of form filling exercise results, display of selected responses containing mistakes/errors, discussion on mistakes/errors, how to avoid them in the field, and doubt doubt-clearing session and re-assessment for unsuccessful candidates.
In the 4th session, EAC & AEO Tseminyu, Molosangla Ozukum, spoke on the online assessment of the participants - multiple choice questions through Google forms/BLOs App.
In the closing remarks, Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu, Japheth Woch stated that intensive summary revision is very important to ensure the preparation of electoral rolls, where elections are conducted strictly in accordance to the Election Commission of India. He also requested all the BLOs to take it seriously, whatever assignment is given to them.
