As part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Block Level Health Mela organised by District Health Society Mokokchung was held on 28th April 2022 at Community Health Centre, Mangkolemba.

Patients  from  and around Mangkolemba Sadar were treated with various services such as Child speciality, bones speciality, eye speciality, medicine speciality, dental, ENT and  Ayush  by doctors from Imkongmeren  District Hospital, Mokokchung.

Earlier, in the inaugural programme Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Chubala in her speech highlighted the aims and objectives of conducting the health mela. Short speeches were also delivered by SDO (C) Mangkolemba, Bodi Kapfo and Convenor, All ward Council Association.

It may be mentioned that in consonance with the Block Level Health Mela and to foster and inculcate the habit of well-being amongst the student, a Yoga Awareness program was conducted at Town Hall Mangkolemba on 28th April 2022. The program was conducted by trainers from Information Education and Communication (IEC) Chief Medical Office Mokokchung. The Yoga session was conducted by Aosenla I Imsong, Instructor and Meren N Longkumer, Instructor while health talk was presented by Imnutnangnen.
