BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 29th OF OCTOBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The full text is as follows:

 

“A total of ­70 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 19 in Kohima, 46 in Dimapur, 1 in Longleng, 3 in Mon, and 1 in Zunheboto. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 8,894.

Out of the 8,894 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 7,019. The active cases are 1,758 and there have been 29 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 1,668 active cases are asymptomatic, 56 active cases are mild, 20 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 4 active case is severe on oxygen, 6 active cases are critical with oxygen and 4 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 8,894 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,867 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,648 cases of Returnees, 2,946 cases of Traced Contacts and 433 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 61,242 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 60,194 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,337 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 33,270 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 3,834 samples have been tested.”
