The full text is as follows:

“The total number of positive cases in the State as on today stands at 2,580. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 2,580 positive cases, the total active cases are 1,752 and there are 6 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, all the 1,752 active cases are asymptomatic.

Further, out of the 2,580 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,117 cases from Para Military/Military, 1,048 cases from Returnees, 182 cases from Frontline Workers, 180 cases are of Traced Contacts and 53 cases are Others.

The Para Military forces in Nagaland in view of a large number of their personnel testing positive have decided as a precautionary measure to reschedule the induction of their personnel from outside the State.

Till date, a total of 26,968 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 25,244 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 17,773 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat.

A total of 2,199 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.”
