“As regard the total number of COVID-19 cases detected today, it is 29 cases- 14 in Kohima, 13 in Dimapur, 1 in Peren and 1 in Tuensang. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,503.

Out of the 9,503 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 8,423. The active cases are 941 and there have been 40 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 887 active cases are asymptomatic, 29 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 10 active cases are severe on oxygen, 1 active case is critical without oxygen and 4 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,503 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 4,082 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,676 cases of Returnees, 3,281 cases of Traced Contacts and 464 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 64,309 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 63,334 samples have been received. In addition, a total 34,389 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 34,348 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 4,528 samples have been tested.”
