A one-day Career guidance under the theme “Education with Goal to Serve,” for UPSC/NPSC/CAPF and other Departmental Exams was held at Longleng by a joint collaboration of Administration, Police and Phom Students’ Conference on 25th March 2023 at PSC Conference Hall, Longleng.

Dr. Samuel A. Konyak, EAC Longleng, in his short speech said there is always a perception in Nagas that only wealthy people get through Civil Service Exams. However, we should leave aside this notion as it will only discourage us, instead we should be working hard and give our very best.

Irrespective of our educational background, every individual has the potential to get through the exams provided we put concerted effort. If we try to enter into government services with an idea to impress somebody or seeking prestige for our family or village, which he said was a wrong intention. Therefore, he encouraged the aspirants to inculcate the spirit of willing to serve the people and the State.

SP, Longleng, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS in her short speech said she was pretty sure that one of them sitting as aspirants will stand up as DC, EAC, SP etc one day. Even the Britishers were unable to deal with the Nagas and now how can we defeat ourselves, she mentioned. Like before, enemies won't come around holding guns but it will come as corruption, easy money, laziness, alcohol, drugs and jealousy, she added. She also added being poor should not be an excuse, everything is possible if we have strong will power and determination to work hard.

Philip, Literature Secretary PBCA, also spoke in the programme.

On the occasion, they also briefed the strategies to be adopted for various entrance exams. Altogether, 80 students participated at the program.
