Project Cavach was formally launched at Kiphire aspirational district by the Chairman of Empower Group of Medical structure, Dr.Vinod K. Paul on 15th July 2021.

The Cavach project is created with an aim to enhance Covid-19 vaccination driveas Kiphire district has a low coverage percentage. It is based on PPP mode (public private partnership) and the project is funded by NSC foundation in partnership with Karuna Trust.

Some of the activities to be implemented are awareness program at Panchayat level, Community Champion program, distribution of screening material to 25 Sub-Centre, door to door visit by community champion and mass communication activities such as song, video, FM radio advertisement on distribution of IEC  material.

Karuna Trust in partnership with the District Administration is going to implement in all the villages in the district for a period of nine months.

The program was launched virtually through video conference which was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, T. Wati Aier and Dr. Chinole Magh Rengma of Karuna Trust and District Collectors from three districts of the country.
