In observance of Poshan Maah 2023, the Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, organized an anaemia screening and sensitization camp for pregnant women and lactating mothers at Tekang village. This event took place on September 13, 2023, with a focus on promoting maternal and child health.

CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) of Tizit, Emilo Yanthan, extended a warm welcome to all participants, setting a positive tone for the program.

Community Health Officer (CHO), Rebek Khongsai, emphasized the significance of timely monitoring and intervention in cases of anemia among pregnant women and lactating mothers. She also discussed corrective measures to address this crucial health concern.

Following the formal program, the screening of pregnant women and lactating mothers was carried out by the CHO and the dedicated staff of the Health & Wellness Centre in Tizit.
